Shine ON! is an exciting programme of activity set to hit Basildon this winter time. Originally running from November 23 through until January 24, Basildon borough is set to come alive again this November 2024-January ’25 with creative pop-ups, interactive workshops, family activities, community events, and everything in between. We will be shining a light on the creativity in Basildon during the dark winter months.
Shine ON! Hub- Free Workshops For All!
As part of our Shine ON! programme last year, we took over the empty British Heart Foundation building above QD to provide a free programme of activities for all ages. This creative Shine ON! Hub displayed work from local artists, bringing the community together in a safe, warm space over the winter months.

MEET THE SHINE ON BASILDON ARTISTS
Hi I’m Terri Timms a local artist, I’ve worked on community projects for other 30 years causing mayhem and fun. Come and join us on the 16 Dec to create a lasting piece of artwork to be displayed where everyone can admire it.
My name is Michael Young and I’m an Essex based Illustrator and Artist. Ever since I was a kid I have been putting marks on paper and could always be found, pencil in hand, scribbling the world around me.
I am a female artist with 7+ years in the creative field. Often lecturing at universities as well as creating custom commissions for local and international businesses.
I am a part time teacher, full time mum of three and lover of all things painty and sparkly, so started Party Paints in 2015 to indulge my passion
